Matt fulford, Head of Sustainability, EC Harris
Matt is an Associate at EC Harris and has over 10 years of experience in the Construction Industry in a variety of sectors including residential, commercial office, industrial and aviation. Matt is the head of sustainability within EC Harris and has provided advice to a number of clients on sustainability strategy and approach, impact of forthcoming legislation and improving the balance between commercial and environmental factors.
Matt has expert knowledge in the area of sustainability within the built environment and is a regular speaker at conferences across Europe and contributes his expert opinion to many articles on the subject.
Matt has high level input and expert knowledge in the full range of sustainability issues. He has detailed understanding of assessment methods such as BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes and has undertaken research on the financial costs and benefits of these. He has in depth understanding of renewable technologies and energy strategies including how these can be used to achieve value for project.
Key experience includes provision of sustainability consultancy and cost management services to a large variety of clients including residential, industrial, commercial office and aviation sectors. Leading commissions and facilitating workshops to maximise value and sustainability is a key component of this work.
Matt has advised many working groups on the future of sustainable development including the recent NHBC, Construction Skills and Zero Carbon Hub workshop on skills required for sustainable development in the house building sector.
